BREIDENSTINE WAYFINDING

Helping students find their way.

2017 | IDENTITY, WAYFINDING, SIGNAGE, STUDENT WORK

Millersville’s art building, not dissimilar to many other buildings on campus, had an inconsistent signage system and lacked accessible features. Additionally, the building had a bit of an “identity crisis”, where the students all colloquially referred to the building simply as “Breid”, instead of “Breidenstine”.

The proposed new system included more consistency in colors and typography, as well as braille integration. Signs were also designed with emergencies in mind, with red illuminated signs utilized in case of smoke or fire.
