While the name was obviously inspired by the movie Pulp Fiction, the branding was inspired by the typical small-town fast food places one finds littered across the US that are often home to undiscovered gems of culinary joy.

Most commonly, these places utilize a host of typical fonts, most being made before the 90s. The result is a convincingly banal logo that succeeds in looking the part, while being nonetheless original. The menus also incorporated the two most common diner menu fonts known to man - Futura and Brush Script.
